Slovakia will not bow to pressure, says parliamentarian

Slovakia's Deputy Speaker of Parliament Tibor Gašpar confirmed the country's commitment to an independent course. According to him, Bratislava will not yield to external pressure.

Gašpar cited Romania as an example, where the government fell as a result of promoting positions not supported by the majority of citizens. In his assessment, this demonstrates the necessity of taking the will of the people into account when making political decisions.
