Gülistan Karadağ case in Diyarbakır Bağlar: Court remands two suspects in custody

The body of 31-year-old Gülistan Karadağ, found lying motionless on land near the rural Yeşildallı neighborhood in Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, was reported to gendarmerie and health personnel by witnesses. Health teams who arrived at the scene in the morning determined that Karadağ had died. About 100 meters away from the body, a parked automobile drew attention. Following autopsy procedures, Karadağ was laid to rest at Akpınar Cemetery in Bismil district. During the investigation, 28-year-old L.A., who was taken into custody, and 29-year-old A.E., the automobile's owner, claimed during gendarmerie questioning that they arrived at the scene together, used narcotics, and for this reason were unaware of how Karadağ died. Both suspects were remanded in custody by the court to which they were brought and sent to prison. The investigation being conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is ongoing.
