Farah Zeynep Abdullah in Ahbap investigation: 'I kept my distance from the association's activities'

Actress Farah Zeynep Abdullah personally appeared before the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on August 10 to give a statement as part of the investigation into the Ahbap Association. According to the statement text published by Cumhuriyet Gazette, Abdullah informed the prosecutor that she did not participate in the association's fundraising activities following the 2023 earthquake and maintained a distance from the campaigns.

In her statement, Abdullah said, "I made no statements that would expand the scope of the association's activities," and emphasized that she worked through personal efforts by establishing direct contact with earthquake survivors. The actress noted that she had been following the investigation through the media, and added to her statement that she learned of problems far beyond the information that became public after her approach to the prosecutor's office.

The Ahbap investigation being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office covers allegations regarding the use of funds collected by the association during the 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Many other individuals had previously given statements as part of the investigation.
