Turkey imposes anti-dumping measures on Chinese aluminum strip imports

Turkey's Trade Ministry announced through a decision published in the Official Gazette that anti-dumping measures will be applied against aluminum strip imports from China. According to Cumhuriyet Gazetesi, the measure aims to protect domestic producers against low-priced products from China.

Anti-dumping measures are triggered when a country exports products below the price prevailing in its own domestic market, entitling the importing country to apply compensatory tariffs. Turkey's protective steps against Chinese imports have accelerated in recent times.

During the same period, the Trade Ministry also announced that it had opened a separate review investigation into imports of certain Chinese-origin cultivator machines. The two decisions coming simultaneously signal that Turkey is systematically tightening its import oversight policy on goods from China.
