YENİ Party registered 150,000 members in first 24 hours, raised 314 million lira in donations

YENİ Party received 150,000 membership applications and raised 314 million lira in donations within the first 24 hours of opening its digital membership system. Ensar Aytekin, Deputy Chairman responsible for the party's organization, stated in a statement to Sözcü newspaper that no official membership campaign has yet been launched, and that the announcement was made only through the party's own channels.

Aytekin said that while there were backlogs in the Supreme Court system, no problems occurred in the party's own infrastructure. Party Spokesperson Zeynel Emre emphasized that such intense interest in a newly established party in such a short timeframe is unprecedented in Turkish political history.

Membership numbers are expected to approach 1 million with those who have resigned from the CHP; the target before the congress was set at 1.5 million. When the party was founded, its starting membership base was zero.
