The murder of Onur Sefer, whose body was found in a car in the Hozat district of Tunceli in 2017 with a gunshot wound to the chest, remains unsolved nine years on. Despite four separate prosecutors taking charge of the investigation, the case has never been cracked.
Sefer's father, Süleyman Sefer, says the investigation has stalled and is demanding it be expedited. It is alleged that despite key leads sitting in the case file, investigators have not pursued them systematically.
The family continues to petition the authorities in pursuit of justice, and has called for a fresh, active investigation to be opened into the killing.
