43 suspects arrested in ISIS operation

Turkish security forces conducted a large-scale operation targeting the terror organization ISIS, centered in Istanbul and spanning 16 provinces. As a result of simultaneous raids, 43 suspects believed to have provided financing to the organization were taken into custody.

Findings obtained during the investigation revealed that the suspects transferred a total of 170 thousand dollars directly to ISIS, collected through various means between 2021 and 2025. These findings, reached by investigators following extended surveillance and technical work, point to the financing network operating in multiple provinces.

The detained suspects face various charges linked to terrorism, primarily the financing of terror. The operation is considered part of the authorities' ongoing counter-terrorism efforts against ISIS and similar organizations. The investigation is reported to be ongoing.
