NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang told Kazakhstan's Vice Premier and head of the Ministry of Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev that the country can develop physical artificial intelligence and become a regional center for robot training.

Madiyev asked Huang what Kazakhstan needs to do to occupy this niche and become one of NVIDIA's key partners in developing models for physical AI. Huang called the direction promising and linked it to the country's plans to become an AI nation.

According to the NVIDIA chief, "physical AI will become the largest industry in the world," because, as he explained, most of human reality is connected to interaction with the physical world. Huang added that artificial intelligence begins with cognitive, software intelligence, but develops all the way to physical AI.

Huang pointed out that the implementation of physical AI can affect key sectors of Kazakhstan's economy: mining through digital mapping of mines and analysis of geological data, agriculture, materials science, and chemical processing. According to him, the technology is not limited to robots but encompasses geological and seismic analysis.

Huang also outlined the prospect of universal AI systems — Artificial General Robotics. "In the future, we can expect universal 'AI engineers,' 'AI farmers,' 'AI miners,' and 'AI scientists'," he said.

The NVIDIA chief expressed interest in cooperation with local robotics companies. Madiyev noted that Kazakhstan has a developed heavy industry, mining sector, agriculture, transport and logistics infrastructure, and IT specialists with experience in these sectors.
