Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov was awarded the highest order of the Turkic world on October 29 during an official visit to Turkey, the Kabar news agency reported.

The award ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Ankara as part of the 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The decision to confer the award was made jointly by the heads of state who are members of the organization: the presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The order was personally presented by Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The OTS unites Turkic-speaking states with the aim of strengthening political, economic, and cultural cooperation among them. Kyrgyzstan is a full member of the organization.

Japarov viewed the award not only as recognition of his personal achievements but also as a high assessment of the Kyrgyz people's contribution to strengthening unity of the Turkic world and developing multilateral cooperation among fraternal states. According to him, the order symbolizes the shared belief of the Turkic world's peoples in common prosperity and a bright future.
