More than 2,740 US citizens have entered Russia since the beginning of 2026, according to TASS citing data on foreign citizen entry. Compared to the same period in 2025, the figure has grown by nearly 190 people.
Thus, the number of American citizens visiting Russia is demonstrating positive year-over-year dynamics. Despite persistent diplomatic tensions between Moscow and Washington, the flow of US citizens to Russia continues to increase — albeit at modest rates.
Among those entering are traditionally both tourists and representatives of business circles, as well as people visiting relatives. Direct air service between the two countries remains significantly limited, which makes any growth in inbound traffic notable against the backdrop of existing logistical barriers.
