Saudi air defenses intercept two missiles and three Houthi drones targeting Mecca, Medina, and Riyadh
Coalition spokesman Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki announced the downing of one cruise missile, one ballistic missile, and three drones over two consecutive days.

Saudi air defense forces intercepted and destroyed two missiles and three unmanned aircraft launched by the Houthi militia toward multiple areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday and Saturday, according to a statement by Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesman for the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen.
Al-Maliki confirmed that air defense forces intercepted a cruise missile fired toward the western region and a ballistic missile that targeted the southern region. He added that three unmanned aircraft launched toward Riyadh, Mecca, and Medina were destroyed before reaching their targets.
This followed an interception the previous day, Thursday, of two ballistic missiles fired toward Riyadh and a third ballistic missile that targeted the eastern region, according to the same statement.
In a related development, Saudi Civil Defense called on citizens and residents to comply with safety instructions during alert periods, notably staying away from open areas and glass windows and avoiding balconies and rooftops.
