Iran's National Security Council Warns: Any Attack Will Be Met With Strikes Using New Weapons
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei affirms that diplomacy is conditional on meeting seven requirements, and Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei orders the military to prepare a comprehensive strike capability against U.S.-Israeli presence

Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, warned that any attack on Iran will be met with "painful strikes using new weapons" in accordance with the latest instructions from the Supreme Leader to the armed forces, while noting at the same time that the door to diplomacy remains open provided that Iran's previously announced seven conditions are met.
The Supreme Leader had met with a number of senior military commanders, including the head of Iran's joint chiefs of staff, commander-in-chief of the Iranian military Amir Hatami, and commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Ahmad Vahidi. In this meeting, he issued instructions for "immediate and effective response to any potential threat from the enemy without any geographic restriction."
He stressed the need to update strike range to include "all American and Israeli assets within the reach of Iran's armed forces," adding in the meeting that "Iran and its people will determine the timing and conditions of these strikes," should the enemy launch military or terrorist attacks again.
Neither side specified a timeline or particular theater, and Rezaei did not disclose the nature of the "new weapons" he referenced.
