Justice Minister Akın Gürlek made a comprehensive statement on social media regarding fund investigations, emphasizing that voluntary repatriation alone will not eliminate any legal liability for natural or legal persons.

Gürlek stated, "Voluntary repatriation, by itself, does not eliminate any legal liability of natural or legal persons. These repatriations, which contribute to remedying damages, do not prevent the conduct of investigations and the evaluation of evidence."

According to the minister, as part of investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, asset protection measures were applied to natural and legal persons deemed to be connected to the transactions under investigation in order to prevent the concealment, transfer, or dissipation of assets.

Gürlek noted that additional asset protection measures will be activated by relevant judicial authorities if legal conditions are met in light of new information, documents, and evidence. Using the phrase "The source, timing, amount, and manner of transfer of repatriations to the actual beneficiaries will be examined meticulously," the minister stated that the distinction between opportunists and good-faith investors will continue to be observed.
