AKP Deputy Chairman Zeybekci: Approximately 6 public institutions were negligent in the fund crisis
Zeybekci stated that approximately 250 million lira from 4 companies in which he is a partner remained in the Tera Portfolio fund, saying 'I am one of 455,000 victims.'

AKP Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci, speaking at an AKP Tavas District Advisory Board meeting in the Tavas district of Denizli, commented on fund investigations being conducted in capital markets, saying 'Unfortunately, there is both negligence and abuse in the management of some public institutions.' Zeybekci stated that 'This fund issue is unfortunately related to the negligence of approximately 6 public institutions,' noting that some public officials were guilty of gross negligence.
In response, Zeybekci said 'We are a state of law; the law must function, the system must work,' without directly opening the door to liquidation of the institutions.
The 6 public institutions Zeybekci referred to are most likely the CMB, BRSA, Borsa Istanbul, CSD, Takasbank, and MASAK. Zeybekci previously explained that 4 companies in which he is a partner invested in Tera Portfolio's TP2 Money Market Fund, and that his funds remained in the system following the CMB's liquidation decision, stating 'I am one of 455,000 victims.' Columnist İsmail Saymaz had noted that the amount remaining in the funds was approximately 250 million lira.
