EASA Adds Northwestern Saudi Arabia to 'No-Fly' List
The EU Aviation Safety Agency, based in Cologne, has issued an urgent advisory designating Tabuk and Medina airspace as a risk zone following Houthi attacks.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has expanded its flight safety warning under the Conflict Zone Information Bulletin for Saudi Arabia with an urgent advisory, following missile and unmanned aerial vehicle attacks by Houthi forces from Yemen on Riyadh airport.
The Cologne-based agency has added the country's northwestern airspace—including Tabuk and Medina—to its previously prepared risk zone list. In its advisory, EASA emphasized that Houthi attacks have now demonstrated the capability to strike deeper into Saudi Arabian territory.
The agency specifically noted that the threat is concentrated during takeoff and landing phases, and that intense missile activity combined with active air defense systems creates additional risk for civilian aircraft. This warning directly affects European-based airlines; it is known that Turkish aviation authorities are closely monitoring EASA's changes.
