Vehicle seized from bodyguard in Gülistan Doku investigation

A new development has emerged in the case of Gülistan Doku, who has been missing since January 5, 2020. According to reporting by Cumhuriyet Gazette, the jeep used by Şükrü Eroğlu, the close protection officer of Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel during the period in question who is currently detained and on trial, has been identified and seized as part of the investigation during the time when Doku went missing. The vehicle has been sent to Ankara for detailed forensic examination.

The investigation into university student Gülistan Doku, who disappeared in Tunceli, remains among the most striking cases closely followed by the public for years. Sonel was previously detained and arraigned as part of the investigation. The emergence of the vehicle used by protection officer Eroğlu during this period points to the pursuit of a new forensic lead in the investigation.
