Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office Seeks Arrest of Ertan Aydın in Fund Investigation

The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office has requested the arrest of former AK Party deputy and research-campaign company founder Ertan Aydın as part of a fund investigation involving IEYHO, VSNMD, ODINE, and TRHOL shares.

According to Anadolu Agency, Aydın underwent a health check following the completion of his police processing and was referred to Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. Aydın, who gave a statement at the prosecutor's office, remains under review at the magistrate court. It was learned that Nusret Altınbaş, owner of Altınbaş Holding, also continues to undergo police processing.

The investigation, conducted by the Bureau of Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering Crimes, was based on reports and written submissions conveyed by the Capital Markets Board. In an earlier operation conducted by teams from Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Combat Branch, detention decisions were issued for 31 individuals.

Among those detained are Alnus Investment Securities Board Chairman Seyit Tahir Özek, Atlas Portfolio Board Member Hakan Avdan, Pardus Portfolio General Manager Mehmet Selim Tunçbilek, A1 Capital Portfolio Management Board Chairman Mustafa Terzi, Altınbaş Holding official İnan Altınbaş, and portfolio managers. Some of the suspects referred to court had been arrested previously; Aydın's judicial proceedings continue.
