74 irregular migrants apprehended in Izmir

In operations carried out against irregular migrants in Izmir, 74 people were apprehended. According to TRT Haber, 34 migrants were rescued at sea off the coast of Karaburun district and brought ashore. In the same period, 40 irregular migrants were detained in Dikili district. The operations form part of routine checks conducted in the Aegean Region on trafficking and migration matters.
