The General Directorate of Meteorology issued an orange code warning for Muğla, Antalya, Mersin and Adana provinces on Thursday, October 29. Under the warning, heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, floods, inundation, lightning strikes and strong winds are among the main risks in these provinces. In addition to the orange code, similar weather conditions are expected to affect various provinces under yellow code warnings.

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi drew attention to adverse weather conditions in a statement on his social media account, announcing that all relevant institutions have taken necessary precautions under AFAD coordination and that developments are being closely monitored. Minister Çiftçi called on citizens to be cautious against risks such as floods, inundation, lightning and strong winds, and to avoid situations that would endanger their safety and property.
