Hacı Ömer Sabancı Holding announced in a notification to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on October 23, 2026, that the closing accounts related to the transfer of CarrefourSA shares had been completed; an additional payment of $6,470,448.10 was made to Yeni Mağazacılık AŞ, the buyer.

With this final payment, Sabancı Holding's total payment during the transfer process rose to $91,949,568.10. Under the agreement, Sabancı Holding's 57.12 percent stake and Carrefour Nederland's 32.16 percent stake were transferred to Yeni Mağazacılık AŞ, the owner of the A101 supermarket chain. The transaction, which encompassed a total 89.28 percent share transfer, was completed on July 31, 2026, following the Competition Board's conditional approval; Sabancı Holding had reported at that time that it had made a payment of $85,479,120.

The announcement that the per-share price was zero TL in the share transfer and that the seller made a payment to the buyer drew attention. According to the transfer agreement, the company's net debt and net working capital on the closing date were used as the basis for determining the final share value; as a result of financial adjustments, the share value came out negative, leading Sabancı Holding to make the payment. In an initial announcement made in April, it had also been noted that if the final value turned negative, additional obligations could arise.

With the completion of the transfer transaction, management control of CarrefourSA passed to Yeni Mağazacılık AŞ. When the agreement was announced, it had been stated that the two retail chains were planned to continue their operations with separate management structures and brands.
