The TBMM General Assembly approved a bill regulating investment funds placed under liquidation pursuant to decisions dated September 17, 2026. The law directly affects 455,758 investors and will enter into force following President Erdogan's signature and publication in the Official Gazette.

According to the law, fund assets will be liquidated at the highest value; collected amounts will be transferred to a recovery account in a manner that prevents duplicate payments. Fund share ownership will be determined on a fund and account basis by organizations responsible for liquidation, with confirmation against Central Registry Agency (MKK) records.

Investors with a net investment amount below 1 million liras may receive interim payment in that amount, while those with 1 million liras or more may receive interim payment of up to 1 million liras. Should the fund lack sufficient resources, payments will commence from the smallest investment. Real and legal persons determined by the Capital Markets Board to be responsible for losses to the fund will be held personally liable; their departure from office will not eliminate their liability, and their assets may be seized.
