A parliamentary question submitted by YENİ Party Bursa Deputy Hasan Öztürk regarding allegations of irregularities in TÜİK's vehicle rental tenders was referred by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance; however, Minister Mehmet Şimşek did not respond within the legal timeframe. A note stating "recorded as unanswered in received documents" was entered on the TBMM website for the question.

The question, which sought responses from both Yılmaz and Şimşek, was submitted to the TBMM Presidency on September 15. According to the allegations, during the tenure of Erhan Çetinkaya—son-in-law of former AKP Bayrampaşa Mayor Atila Aydıner—as TÜİK head, tenders previously conducted by regional directorates were centralized between January 28, 2022 and May 9, 2024. During this period, a total of 4 vehicle rental tenders were held, 2 of which were conducted through direct negotiation; all tenders were won by companies "Carpartner" and "Kayatur Filo" owned by Mehmet Kaya, a former AKP vice-presidential candidate. The total value of the tenders exceeded 522 million lira.

In his response submitted to the TBMM Presidency on October 6, Yılmaz declined responsibility by stating that according to regulations, the matter falls within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. Following Şimşek's failure to respond within the deadline, the question was marked as "unanswered" in the parliamentary records.
