Ukraine and Lithuania have signed a defence agreement centred on drone technology and joint military production, according to reports. The "Drone Deal" framework aims to bolster security capabilities across both nations amid Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
The agreement represents a deepening of defence ties between Kyiv and Vilnius, with Lithuania—a NATO member bordering Russia—committing to closer cooperation on unmanned systems development. Joint production initiatives are expected to strengthen supply chains and reduce reliance on Western imports for critical drone components.
The deal signals Eastern European solidarity in countering Russian military threats and builds on NATO's broader effort to support Ukraine's defence infrastructure.
