Azerbaijan is actively positioning itself at the center of the emerging trade architecture between the United States and China, reports AzerNews. Against the backdrop of a rethinking of global supply chains and intensifying geopolitical competition between the world's two largest economies, Baku is banking on playing the role of a strategic intermediary connecting East and West.

Azerbaijan's geographic position at the intersection of transport corridors between Europe and Asia gives the country a natural advantage in this context. Baku is consistently developing its transit and logistics infrastructure, including as part of the Middle Corridor — a route linking China with European markets while bypassing Russia.

Azerbaijani authorities view the emerging trade environment as a strategic opportunity to diversify the national economy and reduce dependence on hydrocarbon revenues. This course reflects the growing significance of Azerbaijan in regional geopolitical calculations and its aim to secure its role as an indispensable participant in the new global trade system.
