Kyrgyzstan's cabinet of ministers has submitted for public discussion a draft resolution on increasing pensions, allowances, and compensation payments to certain categories of citizens from January 1, 2027. The document was published on the Unified Portal for Public Discussion of Normative Legal Acts on October 28.

The draft was developed by the Social Fund to implement the decree of President Sadyr Japarov from October 21, 2026. According to the document, the pension increase will affect elderly citizens, people with disabilities, and certain categories of veterans.

Special compensation is provided for participants in the cleanup of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant accident and other atomic facilities. If their pension exceeds 12,300 soms, the monthly supplement will amount to 1,000 soms. If the pension is below this amount, the compensation will be calculated as the difference between the actual payment and 12,300 soms, but no less than 1,000 soms.

Financing is provided from the republican budget. The explanatory note indicates that the necessary funds have already been determined as part of implementing the presidential decree. After the resolution is adopted, the Social Fund will recalculate pensions and ensure payments at the new rates.
