Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Almaz Imangaliev participated on October 21–22 in the World Summit "Investing in Child Wellbeing" in Samarkand. At the plenary session, he presented child support programs currently operating in the country.

The summit brought together more than 600 delegates from 100 countries. Participants discussed investments in child development, access to education and medical care, as well as improvements to social protection systems.

Imangaliev gave particular emphasis to the universal benefit "Bala Yrysty," introduced on the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov. According to the minister, implementation of the program became possible through coordination of state bodies and use of digital infrastructure.

The head of the Ministry of Labor also spoke about the "Kelechekke Salym" program, which provides for the accumulation of savings for orphaned children, and about benefits for a third and subsequent children in high-altitude regions. Imangaliev stressed that state support should not be limited to cash payments: children must be ensured access to medical care, adequate nutrition, and early development services.
