Mishustin travels to Dushanbe for SCO summit to discuss digital freight platform

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will participate in the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Dushanbe on October 19–20, according to a statement from the Russian government press office.

At the meeting, heads of government will discuss the development of trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation in the organization's 25th anniversary year. Special attention, according to the press office, will be given to implementing agreements reached at the SCO summit in Bishkek on September 1, 2024, as well as the SCO Development Strategy through 2035.

Following the meeting, participants plan to adopt a joint communiqué. Members will also consider the concept for creating a unified digital platform for managing multimodal land cargo transportation and an initiative to develop high-quality and sustainable international railway transportation among SCO member states.
