Tatarstan has announced a portfolio of investment projects targeting countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). According to TASS, the projects span several key areas: an agro-industrial cluster, halal industry, food export, industrial projects, and logistics hubs.

The agro-industrial and halal sectors are being treated as priorities: Tatarstan possesses developed infrastructure for halal product manufacturing and certification, making the republic a natural partner for Muslim-majority states. Logistics hubs, in turn, are designed to ensure uninterrupted transportation of goods between Russian regions and OIC markets.

The initiative is positioned as a mechanism to expand economic cooperation between Russia and Muslim-majority countries amid the reorientation of trade flows. Tatarstan has traditionally served as one of the main drivers of Russian-Islamic business dialogue, regularly hosting the Kazan International Economic Summit, a platform frequently used to promote joint investment initiatives with OIC partners.
