Turkish investors acquired more than 30 state-owned assets of Uzbekistan with a combined value of approximately $350 million. The total volume of Turkish investments in the country's economy reached nearly $10 billion. These figures were announced on October 19 by Sakhibjon Murodov, director of Uzbekistan's State Assets Management Agency (SAMA), at the international business event SamAuto Supplier Day in Samarkand.

The event brought together more than 150 representatives of government bodies, industrial enterprises, and business circles from both countries and was dedicated to developing industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

A prominent place on the agenda was occupied by the privatization of SamAuto: Turkish company Anadolu Isuzu acquired 75.2% of the enterprise's shares.

Murodov characterized Turkish investors as long-term strategic partners of Uzbekistan, emphasizing that privatization entails not merely the transfer of assets, but also the attraction of investment, modernization of enterprises, implementation of advanced technologies, and job creation.
