Yuan Sets 12th Consecutive Record at NBKR Trading, Ruble Loses 0.82%

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan set official foreign exchange rates for October 31, 2026. The Chinese yuan renewed its all-time high for the 12th consecutive time.

The official yuan rate reached 13.1436 soms, surpassing the previous record of 13.1275 soms. The record streak began on October 16.

The Russian ruble continued its decline: its rate fell from 1.0871 to 1.0782 soms, losing 0.81%. Over two consecutive trading days, the ruble lost 0.0136 soms, or approximately 1.25%, dropping below the October 28 level (1.0815 soms).

The euro strengthened notably — by 0.4861 soms (+0.49%), to 97.8944 soms. The gain was nearly four times larger than the previous day's change.

The US dollar rate remained virtually unchanged: 87.4487 soms compared to 87.4480 soms the previous day. The Kazakhstani tenge maintained its rate at 0.1927 soms.
