Arab Coalition: Houthi Drone Destroyed Over Eastern Saudi Arabia
Coalition spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki announced the interception of the unmanned aircraft via X platform, as Houthi rocket and drone attacks on Saudi territory intensify.

The spokesman for the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, announced the destruction of a drone launched by Iran-backed Houthi forces toward the eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the latest interception operation carried out by air defense forces to counter threats from Yemen.
Al-Maliki stated in a statement posted on X platform that the drone was intercepted and destroyed before reaching its target, without specifying the exact location within the eastern region or indicating any casualties or material damage from the incident.
For years, the Houthis have carried out attacks using ballistic missiles and unmanned aircraft against Saudi territory, stating they come in response to coalition operations in Yemen. The Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia has supported the internationally recognized Yemeni government since its military intervention in March 2015, in confrontation with Houthi group control of the capital Sanaa and a number of governorates since September 2014.
