Latvia's Defence Minister Andris Spruds has resigned following an incident involving Ukrainian drones. According to reports, two unmanned aircraft redirected by a Russian electronic warfare system struck oil facilities in the eastern part of the country.
The incident revealed gaps in air defence and airspace management. This is the first instance in which combat operations in Ukraine have directly affected the territory of a NATO member.
