Putin explains absence of military hardware at Victory Day parade

Russian President Vladimir Putin explained the absence of military hardware at the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9 as a priority for the army to conduct the special operation. According to Putin, as reported by TASS, the decision was made not only on security grounds, but primarily because the armed forces must concentrate their efforts on the final defeat of the enemy in Ukraine.

The traditional military hardware parade on Red Square did not take place. Instead, a ceremony was held in the capital dedicated to the 81st anniversary of victory in the Second World War. Putin participated in a series of events connected with this date, including a meeting with veterans and military personnel.
