Russia Remains Key Strategic Partner of Republika Srpska

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated that Russia is the region's leading strategic partner. According to him, relations between Republika Srpska and Russia "traditionally remain close and are based on mutual respect."

Republika Srpska is one of two administrative entities that comprise Bosnia and Herzegovina. In recent years, its leadership has repeatedly expressed pro-Russian positions and opposed the expansion of sanctions against Moscow.

The statement comes amid persistent geopolitical tensions in the Balkans and Russia's continued strengthening of political influence in the region. The statement was reported by TASS news agency.
