Turkish Health Ministry Evacuates 3 Citizens from Cruise Ship

Turkey's Health Ministry announced yesterday that three Turkish citizens would be evacuated today from an international cruise ship carrying confirmed cases of hantavirus.

The ministry clarified that the three citizens aboard the vessel are currently showing no symptoms or signs of illness, but are undergoing intensive health monitoring.

Upon arrival in Turkey, the three citizens will be placed under mandatory quarantine as a precautionary measure.

Hantavirus is a dangerous respiratory virus transmitted from rodents, and has raised international health concerns in recent weeks.
