Police conducted a large-scale crackdown on illegal gambling and betting activities by launching simultaneous raids across 35 provinces. A total of 108 people accused of committing crimes using AI-powered programs and managing organized betting networks were detained.
Within the scope of the operation, access to 5,151 illegal gambling and betting websites was blocked. The operation targeted branches of Istanbul-based organized crime networks operating across various provinces, and was hailed as a significant step in the ongoing fight against cyber gambling and the illegal betting market.
