Disabled citizens gain free rail travel access

Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Uraloğlu announced a new accessibility measure for disabled citizens. While 9 million disabled passengers are being granted free travel on railways, discount programs for road transportation have also been expanded.

In 2025, 1,784,410 disabled citizens were registered to benefit from discounts of up to 40 percent on intercity buses. In the first four months of this year alone, 356,771 disabled individuals have already used the discounted services.
