Police Talk Down Man in Bridge Crisis in Kayseri

A man who climbed onto a bridge in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri was brought to safety on Saturday after police teams talked him down in a nearly hour-long intervention.

Officers dispatched to the scene made direct contact with the individual and worked to de-escalate the situation calmly. After approximately one hour of sustained persuasion, the man was safely brought down from the ledge.

He was subsequently taken for a medical evaluation and referred for a mental health assessment. Authorities credited the measured, professional conduct of the responding officers with preventing a tragedy.
