Mehmet Arabacı appointed as new head of TÜİK

Mehmet Arabacı, Deputy Head of the Turkish Revenue Administration, has been appointed head of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). The appointment was published in the Official Gazette.

Arabacı is an experienced bureaucrat with many years of expertise in public administration. Prior to his role at the Revenue Administration, he held positions at various public institutions. TÜİK, as Turkey's official statistical authority, is responsible for collecting and analysing economic and social data.

The new head will continue the institution's ongoing statistical work and strengthen Turkey's statistical infrastructure. The appointment reflects continuing administrative changes across the public sector.
