Abuse allegations at child care homes in Uşak brought to Parliament

TİP Spokesperson Sera Kadıgil brought allegations of abuse, violence, neglect, and suicide at child care facilities in Uşak to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Kadıgil submitted written questions to the Minister of Family and Social Services, requesting clarification on conditions at these facilities, known as Sevgi Evleri. According to the news source, serious abuses against children are alleged at the homes in question.

Kadıgil's move has rekindled debate over the inadequacy of oversight mechanisms at such facilities. The Minister's response is awaited.
