Abuse allegations at child care homes in Uşak brought to parliament

TİP spokesperson Sera Kadıgil has brought allegations of abuse, violence, neglect, and suicide at child care facilities in Uşak to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Kadıgil submitted written questions to the Minister of Family and Social Services, seeking clarification on the situation at these facilities, known as Love Homes. The child care homes in question are alleged to be facing serious abuses directed at children.

Kadıgil's move has revived the discussion about the inadequacy of oversight mechanisms at such facilities. The minister's response is awaited.
