Durov accuses France of double standards in social media regulation

Pavel Durov accused French authorities of applying double standards in regulating social media. According to him, French officials illegally collect personal data, process it without adequate protection, extract information from automated systems, and violate the secrecy of electronic communications.

Durov pointed to the inconsistency in France's approach to different platforms, particularly to X (formerly Twitter) and other services.
