Russia and Kazakhstan will simplify cross-border tourism procedures near Mount Belukha, which straddles the border between the two countries, according to Travel And Tour World citing Google News.

Belukha is the highest peak of the Altai Mountains at 4,506 metres, situated on the Russia-Kazakhstan border. The mountain draws tourists and climbers from around the world for its unique landscapes and alpine routes.

The simplification covers easing border controls and reducing paperwork for tourist groups traveling along cross-border routes. The initiative aims to develop the region's tourism potential and boost international visitor numbers.

Details of how the agreement will be implemented, and specific timelines for the changes, have not yet been announced.
