Russian destroyer takes position off German Baltic coast

A Russian destroyer has positioned itself off the German Baltic coast, marking another instance of Russian naval operations in waters near NATO territory. The German Navy, federal police and NATO forces are monitoring the vessel's movements. The incident reflects ongoing tensions in the Baltic region, where Russian military activity has increased in recent months. Germany and other NATO members have strengthened maritime surveillance in the area following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
