Bishkek Mayor Launches New Boiler Plants With Combined Capacity of 45 MW Ahead of Winter

Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev launched new boiler plants operated by the municipal enterprise "Bishkekteploenergо" as the heating season began.

The mayor visited the boiler plant in the 10th microdistrict, as well as the "Rotor" boiler plant, where he personally started up the new equipment.

Three gas boilers with a combined capacity of 25 MW, manufactured in-house by the enterprise, have been installed at the 10th microdistrict boiler plant. The efficiency ratio of each exceeds 93%. Similar equipment has been introduced in the Energetikov residential area. Together, the two facilities provide heating to more than 7,300 subscribers.

At the "Rotor" boiler plant in the "Dzhal" residential district, two new gas boilers with a combined capacity of 20 MW have been installed, replacing equipment that had operated for nearly 40 years.

Additionally, the mayor remotely launched a unified dispatching system for managing heat pumps across 16 enterprise facilities. The system provides remote control of equipment operation and, according to the mayor's office, helps reduce coal and electricity consumption as well as lower harmful atmospheric emissions.

During the launch, the mayor thanked enterprise employees for their work and wished them success, emphasizing the importance of uninterrupted provision of heating and hot water to residents. He also instructed that proper landscaping be ensured around the boiler plants, stressing that municipal facilities must be kept in order and serve as an example for others.

Dzhunushaliev stated that "the main goal is to work for the benefit of the city of Bishkek and its residents," and noted that it is necessary to provide residents with heating and hot water, as uninterrupted and quality heat supply during the winter period is one of the main priorities.
