Osh has completed a major overhaul of Abduvalieva Street and placed the facility into operation, the city administration announced. The road, stretching approximately one kilometer, has been widened to 12 meters and converted into a two-lane thoroughfare: new asphalt pavement has been laid, sidewalks have been constructed along the carriageway, and irrigation channels for water drainage have been installed.
Before repair work began, the street had not been updated for many years. During rainy periods, water would accumulate here, creating serious inconvenience for both drivers and pedestrians. The renovated road is intended to improve transport accessibility to adjacent neighborhoods and enhance comfort for area residents.
Work on the facility remains incomplete: in the coming weeks, contractors will install a night lighting system and carry out landscaping of the surrounding territory. The opening ceremony of the renovated street was led by Osh Mayor Zhanarbereke Akaev in the presence of local residents.
