Two Logistics Centers for Berries and Fruits Opened in Osh Region with World Bank Support

Two trade and logistics centers for storage, processing, and freezing of berries and fruits have been commissioned in Osh Region. The facilities were created as part of a regional development project with financial support from the World Bank, according to Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Agriculture.

In the village of Kenesh, LLC Eco Azyk began operations, focused on developing a value-added chain for berry products. The facility has a capacity of 5 tons of product per shift, with 120 jobs planned.

The second facility — LLC Asia Organics — was launched in the village of Toloikon in Kara-Suu District. The center is designed for shock freezing and long-term storage of fruits and berries; its capacity is up to 1,000 tons of product. The cost of this project was estimated at 28 million soms.

Both facilities were implemented as part of the "Regional Economic Development of Osh Region and Osh City" project. The World Bank initially directed $60 million to the project, and in 2025 approved additional financing of $8.5 million — bringing total support to $68.5 million.
