Saudi Arabia Approves Rehabilitation of Schools in Syrian Idlib and Deir ez-Zor

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) signed two cooperation agreements on Friday with civil society organizations through a video conference. The agreements aim to implement rehabilitation projects for a number of schools and a social facility in the Syrian governorates of Idlib and Deir ez-Zor.

These projects are expected to directly benefit approximately 4,990 people, while it is anticipated that more than 19,894 additional people will benefit indirectly, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to approximately 25,000 people.

These projects are part of a broader programme to restore the educational infrastructure in Syria, as the centre is currently rehabilitating, establishing, and providing temporary classrooms for 48 schools distributed across several Syrian governorates.

These efforts come within the framework of humanitarian and relief support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSRelief, with the aim of restoring the educational and community infrastructure in Syria and supporting the Syrian people in alleviating their suffering in light of the ongoing crisis.
