EU Seeks Sanctions Against Israelis Seizing Palestinian Territories

European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas announced that she hopes EU foreign ministers will reach agreement on sanctions proposals targeting Israelis seizing Palestinian territories.

Kallas emphasized that a political framework needs to be established on this matter and stressed the importance of relevant countries adopting a common position.

The EU has recently begun taking a more active role on the Palestinian issue, with various member states adopting unilateral sanctions decisions.
