Aksoy Research: Opposition bloc at 60 percent, resolve strengthens

Aksoy Research Chairman Ertan Aksoy stated in remarks to Cumhuriyet Newspaper that the establishment of the New Party did not create significant erosion in the opposition's voter base, with the real shift occurring in voter resolve. According to Aksoy, 40 percent of Turkish voters listen only to the government, another 40 percent only to the opposition, and the deciding 20 percent in the middle is taking increasingly clearer positions toward the opposition in each successive poll. In the 2023 elections, there was a pullback from the opposition bloc approaching the results; Aksoy emphasized that today this bloc remains at approximately 60 percent and appears far more stable compared to previous periods. He added that on the government side, no significant pullback tied to the New Party's establishment has yet been measured.
