Retirees describe life's hardships on 20,000 lira monthly pension

During the discussions, retired citizens expressed that a monthly pension of 20,000 lira is insufficient in the face of the rising cost of living. One retiree underscored the gravity of the situation, saying: "How can you get by on 20,000 lira? I look at what I have, and that's all I'm left with." The CHP is attempting to keep citizens' economic grievances on the public agenda through its ongoing field visits across all 81 provinces. The demand for higher pension payments is emerging as a central issue in the main opposition party's work during a period of deepening economic crisis.
